Thread Painting Magic
Presented by Pat Pettry
Join Pat Pettry as she introduces us to the wonderful world of thread painting – or, should we say, thread PLAY??? Thread painting techniques add color, texture, highlights, and detail — making the quilt “pop” and a unique expression of the quilter.
Class Time: Thursday 12:30 – 3:30
Introduction to Thread Painting
Cost: $20.00
This is a process class, not a project class. Using your quilt sandwiches, you will be able to learn and practice various thread painting techniques. We’ll walk through the entire process – from planning to completing the top. The afternoon will finish with working on a small “fun project.” Please read the supply list closely. Questions: Call Pat Pettry at 501-766-0757 and leave a message.

Two or three pre-wound bobbins using the thread color of the spools you bring.
Thread snips
Temporary fabric markers – chalk, blue wash-away, Frixion pens.

Each 15”-18” square. Each sandwich is made of a top that is solid or reads as solid fabric, batting, and backing.
The threads should contrast with the quilt top
One 12” square of batting *
One 12” square of cotton fabric to serve as backing*
Free motion quilting gripper – gloves, hoops, etc. If you use these for your free-motion work.
