Our originally planned July program has been cancelled. Amy, Randee, and Mary Ann came to the rescue with an alternate program. Four Christmas in July  Projects.   The format will be similar to our April meeting when we made  small items for the Auction.  The presenters will take 15 minutes to explain their projects during the meeting  with sewing to follow after lunch.  Bring your own lunch! The projects and materials are described below:

Please bring the supplies as noted:

Yo-yo Christmas Wreath and Star Ornament:  these are  hand-sewing projects.  Bring 2-3 regular needles and a few strong needles,  neutral color thread, and/or green and red thread, thimble and thread conditioner (if you use them), hot glue gun, if you have one, rotary cutter, ruler, mat, iron, ironing surface, extension cord and usual sewing supplies-pins, scissors, etc.

Sewing Machine projects:

Quilt As You Go Holiday Table Runner and Log Cabin Santa Bottle Topper– Bring your machine, neutral color thread, red thread, rotary cutter, ruler, mat, iron, ironing surface, extension cords. Also bring the usual sewing supplies, pins, fabric markers, etc.  If you have large tapestry needles bring them to make French knots for Santa’s eyes.

Feel free to attend more than one class: teachers will be available until 3 pm.  Kits will be provided for each class, therefore, projects made from provided kits are for the auction/bazaar in November. You’ll have the knowledge, experience, and directions to make your own holiday project(s) afterward.

Any questions? Contact Randee Hamblin.

Also, there will be plenty of room for anyone wanting to stay after the meeting for a Sit-n-Sew afternoon. You can work on Xmas stockings, charity quilts, or your own UFO’s.
